About Us
Our Vision
At Kuleana Physical Therapy and Wellness, we are focused on an integrative treatment approach to rehabilitation. Our mission is to promote health and well-being in our community throughout all stages of life.
What Kuleana Means To Us
Kuleana is a uniquely Hawaiian value and practice which translates to responsibility, representing the responsibility not only to self but also to community.
When we live with kuleana, we do our part to take care of ourselves, our health, our ohana, our communities, and our environment as a whole. At Kuleana Physical Therapy and Wellness, we are committed to embodying the word kuleana through human service by providing our home, the North Shore of Oahu, with compassionate, high-quality rehabilitation services for all.
Kuleana is taking responsibility to improve ourselves so we can reach our goals and live up to our divine potential.

She has been practicing in Hawaii for 6 years and is passionate about holistic medicine and restoring well-being at all levels. With experience in various clinical settings, she utilizes an integrative approach that analyzes static and dynamic posture, structural alignment, whole body movement, and musculoskeletal imbalances to assess improper movement patterns. Valerie has a special interest in spinal disorders and has trained with the McKenzie Institute for mechanical management of lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine pain and dysfunction.
Valerie is passionate about human service. She loves being a physical therapist because of the opportunity it gives her to give back to the community and help individuals improve their quality of life, realize their potential, and make a difference in the world. Valerie is a nature and movement enthusiast, filling her time outside of the clinic with surfing, yoga, meditation, diving, hiking, swimming, and quality time with loved ones.
